Absolum Releasing in October

DotEmu announced that beat-’em-up action RPG Absolum will release on October 9, 2025. The game will be available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. A new trailer for the game, viewable below, introduces player character Brome. A Mowlaï born with magical prowess, Brome levitates and can use his staff for melee combos, spellcasting, and gliding.

Absolum is developed by Streets of Rage 4 developers DotEmu and Guard Crush Games, as well as Supamonks. The game sees players fighting as one of four rebels in the fantasy world of Talamh. The world was shattered after wizards caused a magical cataclysm. With magic untrusted by the common people, Sun King Azra took advantage, enslaving wizards and putting loyal subordinates in charge of his conquered realms. The rebels, under the mentorship of Uchawi and the Root Sisters, who utilise a forbidden magic, seek to topple Azra’s grip on power.
