Vaultbreakers Gets Gameplay Trailer, New Playtest, Square Enix Investment

Developer BetaDwarf released its debut gameplay trailer for action RPG Vaultbreakers. The 90-second video gives a quick look at the game, which features an isometric view and both PvE and PvPvE modes. In addition, the game is undergoing a new playtest on PC that runs until July 9, 2025, with those interested in partipcating able to sign up through the game’s official website or Steam. Furthermore, BetaDwarf announced that it has received an investment from Square Enix for development on the game.

Vaultbreakers sees players fighting solo or with allies as they embark on dynamic missions in a fantasy world. Players can choose from various Champions, unlocking and equipping perks and gear. During missions, player and NPC actions can impact the area, such as polluting a large section or unlocking a secret cave. Vaultbreakers also inclues unpredictable shapeshifters called Changelings who can be controlled by the computer or players. The game is planned to release on PC and unspecified consoles, but does not have a release window.
