Tactical RPG Successor Launching on Steam Early Access Next Week

Developer Playwood Project announced that its roguelite tactical RPG Successor will release on Steam Early Access on May 29, 2025. The initial Early Access version will be available in VR and non-VR and will launch with a selection of story campaigns, a number of lords and factions, and an experimental version of its Campaign Generator. The full version is expected to launch sometime after the summer.

Successor features tabletop-inspired gameplay, with players taking on the role of a lord commanding a party of heroes through an adventure in a medieval fantasy world. The game’s combat is real-time, with players able to pause as they wish to give orders and unleash special abilities.
