Suikoden Star Leap Gets Story Trailer, Characters Revealed

Konami released new story trailer for its upcoming mobile title Suikoden Star Leap. In addition to a new story trailer, the company released new details for the game on its official website, including providing introductions to the game’s major characters:

• Hero — Son of the village chief, he is known to be kind and courageous.
• Hisui — A servent working at the hero’s house. Her nature is cheerful, but she apepars to hide her emotions for unknown reasons.
• Hou — The village chief and hero’s father. A former ruffian with a mysterious past who founded the village with his allies.
• Shirin — The hero’s childhood friend. She has a strong sense of justice but can get tunnel vision.
• Shapur — The butler of the hero’s household and his teacher. He is supposedly a former general.
• Yua — The protagonist’s younger sister, who has a create sense of taste and smell and is passionate about cooking. She frequently goes on training trips about food.
• Orhan — A childhood friend of Hou who was involved in founding the village. He runs a tavern and his daughter Shirin is one of the hero’s close friends.
• Farah — A cheerful, young-looking trading post worker. Despite her looks, she is rumoured to be strong than Hou as a result of her job.
• Flanagan — A strong guard sent to the village. He may appear reckless, but his openness has allowed him to quickly fit in.
• Stendhal — A member of the Rarby race making a living telling tales of adventure. He is set on chronicling the hero’s adventure.
• Odessa — An aristocrat from the Scarlet Moon Empire who the hero meets on his journey. Her sense of justice leads to to rise up against the Empire.
• Flik — A traveling swordsman encountered by Odessa while being chased by the Empire’s forces, and decides to join her Liberation Army. He often shows off, but has great skills and is able to protect his allies.
• Viktor — Another travelling swordsman who is encountered by Odessa. An easygoing character, he joines the Liberation Army after being impressed by her strength.

Suikoden Star Leap is developed by MYTHRIL, which has previously been involved in battle and level design for Romancing SaGa Re;univerSe as well as planning for Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy & the Liberator of Polar Night and SaGa Emerald Beyond. The game will be a free-to-play title on iOS and Android, though a release date has not been announced. The game starts in a village just to the east of the Scarlet Moon Empire, where the hero, son of the village chief, returns to celebrations following his first hunt. However, the village is attacked, and the hero sets out with allies Hisui, Shirin, and Shapur in a quest to restore peace, with 108 new stars for players to meet.
