Magical Librarian Ariana: The Books of the Seven Heroes Gets August Japanese Date

Compile Heart and HYDE announced that side-scrolling action RPG Magical Librarian Ariana: The Books of the Seven Heroes will release in Japan on August 21, 2025. The game will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. The companies also released the game’s debut trailer, which can be viewed below.

Magical Librarian Ariana: The Books of the Seven Heroes is set in a world where magic is governed by seven books called the “Books of the Seven Heroes”. The game follows young librarian Ariana Virellis, who is tasked with restoring them after someone tampers with the books and removes magic from the world. She does this this by entering the book themselves, while also looking solve the mystery of the Library where they are kept, as well as her parents’ disappearance.
