Fallen Tear: The Ascension Gets New Trailer

CMD Studios, Holysoft Studios, and Winter Crew released a new trailer for upcoming Metroidvania Fallen Tear: The Ascension. The minute-long video, which debuted during the weekend’s OTK Games Expo, offers some quick snippets of the game and its features ahead of its planned release in Q1 2026 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

Fallen Tear: The Ascension is billed as being inspired by elements of Elden Ring, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Suikoden, Valkyrie Profile, and Shadow of the Colossus. The game follows Hina, a young boy seeking to learn the truth about his past. On his journey, he bonds with various characters to obtain new skills and abilities while taking on dangerous beasts and corrupt gods. The game is said to feature locales that respond to player actions with choices that also imapct Hina’s journey and his companions.
