Darkest Dungeon II Gets Physical Anniversary Edition Release

Red Hook Studios and Skybound Games announced a physical release for Darkest Dungeon II. Announced to mark the second anniversary of the game’s PC release, the Anniversary Edition is available to pre-order now for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch through Amazon.com. It is priced at $99.99, with shipping expected in Q4 2025, and includes:

  • Physical disc/cart copy of Darkest Dungeon II
  • SteelBook case
  • Combat pop-up diorama
  • Papercraft stagecoach
  • Deck of playing cards
  • Original soundtrack and Kingdoms soundtrack download codes
  • Binding Blade, Inhuman Bondage, and Infernal Supporter Pack DLC download codes

 

 

A follow-up to 2016 turn-based roguelike Darkest DungeonDarkest Dungeon II released for PC in 2023 with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch versions following in 2024. The game sees players tasked with guiding a stagecoach expedition across a decaying landscape to try and avert the apocalypse. It features a refined version of the previous game’s combat with a new Token System. Each failed run grants resources that can be used on upgrades for future attempts. The game also includes an affinity system between party members, and players can learn more about their heroes’ backstories.
