Darkest Dungeon II: The Binding Blade DLC Announced

Red Hook Studios announced the first DLC for Darkest Dungeon II. The Binding Blade is planned to release for PC in December 2023. It will include two new playable heroes — the Duelist and the Crusader — as well the new Warlord roaming mini-boss. The Duelist is a disciplined fighter that can switch between Defensive and Aggressive stances, while the Crusader is a front rank tank fuelled by Holy Fire.

A follow-up to 2016 turn-based roguelike Darkest Dungeon, Darkest Dungeon II sees players tasked with guiding a stagecoach expedition across a decaying landscape to try and avert the apocalypse. The game features a refined version the previous game’s combat with a new Token System. Each failed run grants resources that can be used on upgrades for future attempts. The game also includes an affinity system between party members, and players can learn more about their heroes’ backstories.
