The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Available Now

Bethesda has announced and released The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Reamstered, a new version of open-world RPG The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The Remastered version, created with developer Virtuos, is out now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It is included on the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. It features refined gameplay and upgraded visuals, including updates to the game’s leveling systems, character creation, combat animations, in-game menus, and more.

The game can be purchased for $49.99 in its standard edition, which includes the Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine story expansions as well as the Fighter’s Stronghold, Spell Tomes, Vile Lair, Mehrune’s Razor, The Thieves Den, Wizard’s Tower, The Orrery, and Horse Pack Armor DLC packs. A $59.99 Dexule Edition is also available that includes the standard edition plus new quests to obtain unique Akatosh and Mehrunes Dagon armors, weapons, and horse armor sets as well as a digital artbook and soundtrack app.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion originally released for PC and Xbox 360 in 2006, with a PlayStation 3 version released in 2007. It takes place in the province of Cyrodiil on the continent of Tamriel. Players control a customised character who starts off as a prisoner in the Imperial City, but is swiftly tasked with helping prevent the destruction of Cyrodiil. Players have free reign to explore the game’s open world and participate in various other questlines around the region.
