Monster Crown: Sin Eater Kickstarter Underway, Demo Available

Developer Studio Aurum has begun a Kickstarter campaign for monster-taming RPG Monster Crown: Sin Eater. A follow-up to Monster Crown, it follows aspiring Monster Tamer Asur, who sets out on a journey when his family is put in mortal danger. Alongside the start of the Kickstarter campaign, Studio Aurum has released a free demo, which is available to download for PC via Steam.

Monster Crown: Sin Eater features 2D top-down exploration as players venture across the Crown Kingdom, with turn-based combat. Like its predecessor, the game features a crossbreeding system, with over 1000 unique monster sprites available. Monster Crown: Sin Eater also includes the ability for certain monsters to transform when exposed to certain elemental items.

The Kickstarter campaign is looking for CA$43,000 (c. $30,000) in funding and is set to run until April 24, 2025. Those who pledge at least CA$33 (c. $23) will receive a digital copy of the game for PC or Nintendo Switch as part of their backer rewards. The game is currently expected to release in 2026.
