Calamity Angels: Special Delivery Gets Japanese Release Date

Compile Heart announced a Japanese release date for its “delivery service” RPG Calamity Angels: Special Delivery. The title will launch in the country on June 26, 2025, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch, with the western release planned for this summer. This announcement came with a one-and-half-minute trailer showing the cast of the game and snippets of gameplay.

Originally announced as Todokero! Tatakae! Calamity Angels, the game sees players leading a rag-tag group of couriers as they cross terrains and deal with monsters while looking to become the best delivery service in the Orkotris Region. Courier moods can play a role in combat, with unhappy members potentially ignoring commands, but also potentially delivering positive surprises. It features artwork from Kei Nanameda, previously known for their work on Mary Skelter and Death end re;Quest.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly became obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPGs. At that time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as much as gameplay. Now, I am writing about them, especially my favorite ones: the JRPGs!
