Tribe Nine Launching This Month

Akatsuki Games and Too Kyo Games held a showcase presentation for action RPG Tribe Nine. During the showcase, the company announced that the free-to-play title (with in-app purchases) will launch worldwide on PC, iOS, and Android on February 20, 2025. The full hour-long showcase can be viewed below along with a new trailer and screenshots.

Tribe Nine is set in the year 20XX in futuristic Neo Tokyo. It is ruled by a mysterious masked man known as Zero, who requires that everything is settled through “Extreme Games”. A group of young rebels aim to resist Zero’s rule, using techniques and gear inspired by their favourite game, Extreme Baseball (XB).

Regular battles feature three-person parties, with each playable character having their own unique skills, actions, and play style. Players control a single character, with the other members able to assist by drawing enemy attention, healing, and coordinating for special attacks. In addition, the game has a special XB battle mode for certain duels featuring 3D cutscenes. Meanwhile, exploration sees players navigating a 2D pixel overworld where they can find treasures, mini-games, and side quests.
