Celtic-Inspired cRPG Legends of Awen: Rise of the Fianna Announced
Developer Hawkswell Studios announced story-driven cRPG Legends of Awen: Rise of the Fianna. The game is inspired by Celtic myths and puts players in the role of Finn, an orphaned child with otherworldly powers. They start out as the newest recruit in the Fianna warband, before rising to becoming their leader.
Legends of Awen: Rise of the Fianna is set in the kingdom of Tara, which is beset by internal strife and dark forces. Players will have to take on both human and supernatural foes in tactical battles, as well as managing their relationships with five unique companions. In addition to combat, players can solve encounters with negotiation, charm, or intimidation. The game features classless character creation, with players able to follow three different skill paths: the Bard, the Druid, and the Warrior. It will include romanceable companions as well as multiple story outcomes and paths depending on player choices.
Legends of Awen: Rise of the Fianna is in development for PC and is available to wishlist on Steam. Hawkswell Studios is planning to run a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for the game in Q1 2025.
