Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Announced

Nintendo and Monolith Soft have announced Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition. The remaster of the Nintendo Wii U game will launch internationally on March 20, 2025. It will feature enhanced visuals, added story elements, and more.

Xenoblade Chronicles X is separate from the other titles in the series, taking place in the year 2054 after humanity has fled Earth after being caught in an intergalactic war. Players control a customised survivor and member of the New Los Angeles (NLA) colony as it looks to establish a new home on the planet Mira.

As players complete missions and help other survivors, they explore the planet’s five continents — accessible as a single open world — eventually unlocking their customised mechs to explore and battle in. Players also help to build up New Los Angeles, developing its four districts, while building affinity with other party members, unlocking their own personal quests that provide gear and other rewards.
