Tokyo Clanpool International Release Announced

Eastasiasoft announced it has partnered with Idea Factory and Compile Heart to release dungeon-crawling RPG Tokyo Clanpool internationally. The game will be released for PC and Nintendo Switch later this year with English and Traditional Chinese language support. It will be available digitally for both platforms, while physical Nintendo Switch editions will be made available to pre-order from Playasia at 11pm Hong Kong time (11am Eastern) on July 4, 2024. There will be a standard edition and a 3,000-copy limited edition that contains a soundtrack CD, an art book, a sticker sheet, a poster, a numbered certificate, and a collector’s box.

Tokyo Clanpool was released in Japan in 2017 for PlayStation Vita. It is set in a near future Tokyo where the government has collapsed after the appearance of a massive tower that connects the Diet building with Reverse City in the sky. The game follows newly inaugurated Prime Minister Natsume Kannuki as she commands her Diet Dolls in battle against monsters threatening the people of Tokyo.

The game sees players sending a team of Dolls into the tower to defeat the monster and learn about its origins. The game has fast-paced turn-based combat, and players can use the Dolls’ powers to float or dig tunnels to get around obstructions and change the tower’s structure. Players will also have to keep an eye on citizens’ approval ratings, which can lead to extra bonuses or the resignation of the cabinet.
