New World: Aeternum Launching in October

Amazon Games announced New World: Aeternum. The title is effectively a mixture of remaster, update, and successor to MMORPG New World, but will be playable solo and bring the title to consoles for the first time. New World: Aeternum will release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 15, 2024, for $59.99 (with a $79.99 Deluxe Edition). Those who already own both New World and its Rise of the Angry Earth expansion, will receive New World: Aeternum for free.

New World: Aeternum will include all of the content for New World and Rise of the Angry Earth, plus a new large-scale PvP zone, a ten-player raid, end-game solo trials, new character archetypes, a reworked dialogue system, and more. The game will include cross-play functionality and feature parity across platforms.

New World released for PC in 2021 and is set in a world inspired by the 17th-century age of expedition, with players being part of the colonisation effort of Aeternum Island. The game features classless combat that is designed to accentuate player skill.
