Reynatis Gets September Western Release Date

NIS America announced that it will be releasing FuRyu and Natsume-Atari’s Reynatis in the west this September. The game will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch in North America and Europe on September 27, 2024, with the PC version also releasing worldwide that same date. A physical Limited Edition is available to pre-order now from NIS America’s online stores in North America and Europe for $99.99 that includes:

  • Physical Deluxe Edition of Reynatis for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, or Nintendo Switch
  • Collector’s box
  • Hardcover art book
  • Acrylic art print
  • Multi-panel art print
  • Mini soundtrack selection CD

In addition, the publisher and developers confirmed that the game will include special collaboration content with Square Enix’s NEO: The World Ends with You. The content will see characters, locations, and enemies from NEO: The World Ends with You appearing in Reynatis, with both games set in versions of Tokyo’s Shibuya ward.

Reynatis is set in a version of modern Shibuya that blends fantasy and reality. Magic is feared by the citizens of this Shibuya, meaning wizards are forced to conceal their identities and powers, with an organisation called the MEA dedicated to keeping wizards under control. It has six playable characters with two competing main protagonists on the sides of freedom and order. Marin Kirizumi is a magician who has obtained unconstrained power and yearns for freedom, while Sari Nishijima is an officer of the MEA who desires order.
