New Release Round-Up (April 18, 2024)

Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released over the week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases where the game is still in development.

Dave the Diver

Dave the Diver is a mixture of adventure RPG, sea exploration, and sushi restaurant management sim. Players venture underwater into the ever-changing Blue Hole and catch fish and other creatures with a variety of weapons during the day, before running the sushi restaurant at night. Dream Tactics

Tactical RPG Dream Tactics sees Neru and her friends fighting against the Pillows, who have taken over the Dream World and put its inhabitants into an unending sleep. Its combat utilises cards on a grid-based battlefield as players control a party of four characters. Each turn players redraw their hand, with multiple cards usable per turn provided players can afford their usage cost. Kingsgrave

2D action RPG Kingsgrave sees players controlling a long-dead king who is awakened to revive their former kingdom after it is ravaged by disease. Players unlock new abilities by collecting resources, building homes, and defeating foes. As they traverse different biomes such as woods, deserts, and volcanoes, they will need to take on creatures distorted by the plague.

Soul Covenant

Soul Covenant is a VR action adventure RPG set a near-future, desolate Japan where humanity is locked in battle against machines. Players take on hordes of enemies while wielding transformable weapons that can switch forms during combat. The game is directed by Teruhiro Shimogawa, who previously directed PlayStation Vita action RPG Soul Sacrifice, and features music composed by Yasunori Mitsuda.
