Dread Delusion Release Date Announced

Independent publisher DreadXP has announced the full release of Lovely Hellplace’s open-world RPG Dread Delusion. The game, which has been in Early Access since June 2022, is due to fully launch for PC on Steam (priced at $19.99/£15.49/€16.79) on May 14, 2024. Additionally, it will be available at a 20% discount as part of the LudoNarraCon festival, running May 9-16, 2024.

Dread Delusion is set in a broken world afflicted by an undead curse, where humans survive by hanging on to continents in the sky. Players have the choice of either healing the world and restoring normality or pursuing personal gain. While exploring numerous fantasy towns and completing quests, players will have the opportunity to learn more about the mysterious world by interacting with its inhabitants.

The 1.0 release includes a new realm called the Underlands, new towns, new dungeons, new quests, and much more. Players can use their charms to avoid combat, pick locks, upgrade their equipment using smithing and alchemy, employ a wide range of potions and spells, and have the ability to join a variety of factions, each with its own goals. I have been gaming since I received the Sega Master System as a young child, which was the first console I ever owned (Yes, I am that old). The game that got me into RPGs was Final Fantasy VIII, a game that I still adore to this day. My favorite RPG of all time, however, is Shadow Hearts on the PS2.
