Home of the Yokai Announced

Developer and publisher Rayka Studio has announced creature-collecting adventure RPG Home of the Yokai will be coming to PC via Steam with a planned release date of July 10, 2024. The game takes place in a world where humans and magical beings known as Yokai coexist peacefully. Players take on the role of a Yokai Keeper, whose duty is to maintain good relations between both species. However, a dark force corrupting the Yokai threatens to put the world in danger.

In Home of the Yokai, players will journey through forests, kingdoms, and other landscapes as they search for treasures and materials along the way. Over 300 Yokai types can be gathered, each with their own characteristics and traits, and used to battle with rival Yokai Keepers. The game will feature village management elements, the ability to craft charms to strengthen allies or weaken enemies, up to thirteen schools of Yokai keepers, nine recruitable companions, and five demon lords.

I have been gaming since I received the Sega Master System as a young child, which was the first console I ever owned (Yes, I am that old). The game that got me into RPGs was Final Fantasy VIII, a game that I still adore to this day. My favorite RPG of all time, however, is Shadow Hearts on the PS2. I do have many other interests outside of gaming as well, such as watching old-school wrestling, Reading books, 80s movies.... or anything 80s related as a matter of fact.
