Outward Definitive Edition Gets Switch Release Date

Developer Nine Dots Studio has announced open-world fantasy RPG Outward Definitive Edition will be coming to Nintendo Switch on March 28, 2024. The Definitive Edition features both DLC, The Three Brothers, and The Soroboreans, along with additional content such as new weapons, dungeons, and quality-of-life improvements.

Outward originally released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2019 and takes place in the world of Aurai, where players take control of an adventurer as they overcome the threat of hostile creatures, brave hazardous environmental conditions, and keep themselves hydrated. The constant auto-saving feature means there’s no turning back on any decisions made, providing a unique experience with every playthrough. Players can explore cities, hidden dungeons, and the wilderness solo or via online co-op.

I have been gaming since I received the Sega Master System as a young child, which was the first console I ever owned (Yes, I am that old). The game that got me into RPGs was Final Fantasy VIII, a game that I still adore to this day. My favorite RPG of all time, however, is Shadow Hearts on the PS2. I do have many other interests outside of gaming as well, such as watching old-school wrestling, Reading books, 80s movies.... or anything 80s related as a matter of fact.
