Dreamed Away Kickstarter Going Live Soon

Solo French developer Nicolas Petton and Polish publisher Pineapple Works are launching a Kickstarter campaign on February 1, 2024, to fund the development of Dreamed Away. The pixel-art indie RPG which takes inspiration from Earthbound and Omori is planned for release on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S in Q1 2025.

Dreamed Away takes place in France during the 1990s and follows the adventures of Theo, a young boy who wakes up in his bedroom to realize his parents and sister Louise have gone missing. Players will guide him through a mysterious, dreamlike world as he is haunted by ghosts, phantoms, and revenants during his quest to find his sister. The game will feature no random encounters and a fast-paced combat system using mini-games. Strategy and skill will be required to defeat enemies with the help of unique abilities and equipment. A demo is available to download on the game’s Steam page.

I have been gaming since I received the Sega Master System as a young child, which was the first console I ever owned (Yes, I am that old). The game that got me into RPGs was Final Fantasy VIII, a game that I still adore to this day. My favorite RPG of all time, however, is Shadow Hearts on the PS2. I do have many other interests outside of gaming as well, such as watching old-school wrestling, Reading books, 80s movies.... or anything 80s related as a matter of fact.
