New Release Round-Up (November 30, 2023)

Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released over the week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases where the game is still in development.


Arcadian Atlas

Tactical RPG Arcadian Atlas is set in the kingdom of Arcadia, which is currently in a period of strife as numerous factions, plots, alliances, and intrigues clash. Players build a party with adventurers from over twelve classes to help two lovers who were torn apart by conflicts, fighting against the evil lurking in the kingdom, and putting an end to the power struggles. Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince follows Psaro, the eponymous cursed prince, and his companion Rose in the world of Nadiria. Psaro’s curse stops him from harming monsters, causing him to become a Monster Wrangler, recruiting and fighting with monsters. Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince features seasons with the game cycling through winter, spring, summer, and fall. Different seasons will change the landscape as well as the monsters that appear. The game also includes a synthesis system that lets Psaro create new monsters by combining ones in his roster.


Gothic II Complete Classic

Gothic II Complete Classic is a remastered port of the 2003 PC title, and includes its Night of the Raven expansion. A sequel to the original Gothic, which also received a Nintendo Switch port earlier this year. The action RPG is set on the medieval island of Khorinis, with players controlling a nameless hero sent to deal with a new threat: an army led by dragons.


Noctuary

Platform: PC

Noctuary is a hybrid visual novel and RPG set in the fairy tale-like world of Inlixaland, which is beset by monsters called Darkritters. It follows the duo Fancia Dream and Alina Nightsong, who seek to become guardians known as Arborangers and come across a mysterious girl who falls from the sky. The game features action combat with players able to switch between the two protagonists, who have their own skills and fighting styles.


TEVI

Platform: PC, Nintendo Switch
Publisher: CreSpirit, Neverland Entertainment

TEVI is an action side-scrolling Metroidvania. The game follows the eponymous Tevi as she takes on bosses and other foes in the world of Az. Tevi is joined by companions Celia and Sable, who manifest as floating orbs providing offensive and support magic. The game features over 300 items and pieces of equipment to find.
