Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Tells the Story So Far

Square Enix released a new video for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. The five-minute “Story So Far” recap is narrated by character Red XIII and gives a brief overview of the main events of Final Fantasy VII Remake, with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth picking up where Remake left off.

In addition, Square Enix released new screenshots for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. The new images, accompanied by a new blog post, feature various elements including side characters, the village of Kalm, party combat abilities, Synergy Skills, the Kujata summon, and more. Square Enix also revealed a new difficulty option for the game. Players will still have access to both Active and Classic modes, as well as Easy and Normal difficulty options, but there will also be a Dynamic difficulty that adjusts itself based on player performance in combat.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the second part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy and is set to release for PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024. Taking place after the events of Remake, it sees the party venturing in pursuit of Sephiroth, a vengeful swordsman thought to be dead. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be available as a standalone title, with its physical version to be spread over two discs.
