Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Gets Cinematic Trailer

CD Projekt RED posted a new Night City Wire episode focusing on the upcoming release of Cyberpunk 2077‘s Phantom Liberty expansion. The presentation featured a new cinematic trailer showing Idris Elba’s character Solomon Reed seven years before the events of the expansion, as well as some behind-the-scenes discussion from the actor about his role in the game. In addition, CD Projekt RED revealed that the game’s free Update 2.0 will release on September 21, 2023. The episode also feature some discussion and previews of Phantom Liberty’s music.

Phantom Liberty is a spy-thriller tale where protagonist V becomes involved in a mission to save the President of the New United States of America. It sees V’s orbital shuttle getting shot down while over the Dogtown and features multiple new characters, including FIA sleeper agent Solomon Reed. The expansion will release for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on September 26, 2023.
