Like a Dragon Gaiden Receives Overview Trailer, Development Update

Sega and Ryū ga Gotoku Studio released a new video for Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. The eleven-minute development update, hosted by studio director Masayoshi Yokoyama, includes a new six-minute overview trailer that introduces both the game’s story and gameplay elements. The video also features a teaser for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, revealing that a special trial version will be included with Like a Dragon Gaiden, plus news that the game will be present at the upcoming Gamescom, PAX West, and Tokyo Game Show events.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is set between the events of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. It follows regular series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu, who is now operating under the codename “Joryu”, and features the locations of Sotenbori and Yokohama. The game will release on November 9, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
