Marvelous Reveals Multiple Titles

Marvelous held its inaugural “Marvelous Game Showcase” during which it announced multiple new titles. The 30-minute Japanese presentation was hosted by Marvelous President and CEO Suminobu Sato, who was joined by various development staff, with an English-subtitled version posted by Marvelous’s North American publishing brand XSEED Games. It should be noted that none of the new titles’ platforms nor release windows have been revealed at this time.

The presentation began with a trailer for the upcoming Loop8: Summer of Gods ahead of its worldwide release next week, as well as a reminder that Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life will release in North America and Europe in June 2023, followed by Rune Factory 3 Special in September 2023. It then introduced two new games, Fashion Dreamer and Project Magia. Fashion Dreamer is a “fashion influencer game” releasing internationally for Nintendo Switch this year. Project Magia is a titled themed around “a new frontier” and features designs from illustrator Hiro Mashima (Fairy Tail, Edens Zero), though no other details are available at this time.

Next title revealed was a brand new IP titled PROJECT LIFE is RPG. The game is planned to be an original title that appeals to all fans, and features “life” as a key theme. No other details were announced, though the presentation showed some concept art of a fantasy world. Marvelous also confirmed that two new brand new Story of Seasons/Bokujō Monogatari farming sim titles are in development. It shared some concept footage of the new mainline title, which is said to revolve around “experiences”, as well as revealing a separate title that promises to let players play with all of their friends.

Story of Seasons/Bokujō Monogatari spin-off series Rune Factory will also be getting two new titles. Project Dragon is itself a spin-off to Rune Factory themed around “East and West”. It is set around the Land of the East that has been previously referenced but not shown in the series. In addition, Rune Factory 6 is confirmed to be in development, and will be set on the western continent of Adonea. Finally, Marvelous announced a sequel to mecha action title Daemon X Machina. The sequel is titled Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion, with more details to be revealed at a later date.
