Loop8: Summer of Gods Gets New Japanese Trailer

Marvelous released a new Japanese trailer for Loop8: Summer of Gods. The six-minute video offers an overview of the game and life in the town of Ashihara as players spend their time building bonds with and between other characters before attempting to defeat demonic creatures called Kegai. Character bonds play a key role, with the game featuring an emotion-driven AI system that sees characters’ stories, reactions, and combat capabilities changing based on player choices and their relationships with other characters.

Loop8: Summer of Gods is billed as a coming-of-age adventure, and is set in a world where the Kegai, have brought humanity close to extinction. It follows Nini as he returns to Ashihara, one of humanity’s last sanctuaries. His special “Demon Sight” ability allows him to reset the world, letting him and his allies relive their summer until they manage to defeat the Kegai or are completely defeated. The game is set to release in Japan on June 1, 2023, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, with its North American and European console and worldwide PC releases following on June 6, 2023.
