Defender’s Quest II: Mists of Ruin Launching This Year
Developer Level Up Labs and publisher Armor Games Studio have re-revealed Defender’s Quest II: Mists of Ruin. A sequel to tower defence RPG Defender’s Quest: Valley of the Forgotten, the game was originally announced back in 2013, with the re-reveal showing a new graphical style. The game is planned to launch for PC and unspecified consoles in 2023.
Defender’s Quest II: Mists of Ruin sees the Shining Lands of its predecessor having become plagued by a toxic gas called the Mirk that threatens any who venture out of city walls. The game’s story is written by Xalavier Nelson Jr. and follows Evni Hunt and her allies, dubbed the Hunters, as they embark on a mission to save the land. The narrative will follow multiple perspectives and its gameplay features a mix of tactical tower defence and party customisation as players build a party of heroes with their own abilities, skill trees, and equipment.
