Hellcard Coming to Steam Early Access This Month

Publisher Skystone Games and developer Thing Trunk announced that roguelike deckbuilder Hellcard will release on Steam Early Access on February 16, 2023. The game is a follow-up to 2018’s Book of Demons and continues its story. A free prologue is available on Steam that lets players try out its single-player and multiplayer modes.

Hellcard sees players taking on papercraft dungeons with a customisable deck of cards in order to defeat the Archdemon. The game’s combat makes use of monster positioning as well as other elements. It features co-op for up to three players through friend invites or matchmaking, with players also able to make use of AI-controlled companions. Hellcard is expected to spend at least a year in Early Access.
