Forspoken Demo Getting Update, PC Requirements Revealed

Square Enix and Luminous Productions detailed that they are planning to update the demo for action RPG Forspoken. A message from Creative Producer Raio Mitsuno revealed that the update will include button mapping functionality, extended lock-on time for enemies that move outside of the visible screen, text-size adjustments, and some fixes for technical issues.

In addition, the companies released the system requirements for the game’s PC version. The requirements, listed below, come with a new trailer highlighting various options and support available in the PC version.

Minimum PC Requirements

  • Windows 10 64-bit (After November 2019 Update) or Windows 11
  • AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (3.7GHz or better) / Intel Core i7-3700 (3.7Ghz or better)
  • AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB / NVidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB VRAM
  • 16GB RAM
  • 150GB HDD space
    (720p 30fps display resolution)

Recommended PC Requirements

  • Windows 10 64-bit (After November 2019 Update) or Windows 11
  • AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (3.7GHz or better) / Intel Core i7-8700k (3.7Ghz or better)
  • AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB / NVidia GeForce RTX 3070 8GB VRAM
  • 24GB RAM
  • 150GB SSD space
    (1440p 30fps display resolution)

“Ultra” PC Requirements

  • Windows 10 64-bit (After November 2019 Update) or Windows 11
  • AMD Ryzen 5 5800X (3.8GHz or better) / Intel Core i7-12700
  • AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT 16GB / NVidia GeForce RTX 4080 16GB VRAM
  • 32GB RAM
  • 150GB NVMe SDD space
    (2160p 60fps display resolution)

Forspoken sees New York City resident Frey Holland transported to the world of Athia, where she learns she has mystical abilities. Athia previously flourished under the reign of its matriarchs, called Tantas, before it became afflicted by the Break, which has driven the Tantas to madness. Forspoken is set to release for PC and PlayStation 5 on January 24, 2023.
