Wizardry Variants Daphne Gets Story Trailer

Publisher Drecom and developer Studio 2PRO released a new trailer for the upcoming Wizardry Variants Daphne. The 90-second video gives an introduction to the game’s premise, where a dungeon called the Abyss opens every 100 years, whereupon its curse of death attempts to consume the world. Players control a character who appears to be executed but is brought back to life, encountering a girl being tasked with finding the king, whose lineage has re-sealed Abyss across the millennia.

Originally announced as Wizardry VA, Wizardry Variants Daphne features 3D first-person dungeon-crawling as players deal with the monsters and traps within. The game is planned to release internationally in early 2023 for iOS and Android as a free-to-play title with in-game transactions.
