Top-Down Action RPG Ashen Knights: Foreshadow Announced

Developer Baykal Arts announced its debut project, top-down action RPG Ashen Knights: Foreshadow. The game is in development for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, and is planned to release in 2023. It is available to wishlist on Steam and a free prologue, Ashen Knights: One Passage, is set to release a few months before the game.

Ashen Knights: Foreshadow is billed as a combination of Souls-like and hack-and-slash gameplay. The game follows two protagonists, Primos and Evelin, in a world devoured by an entity called the Abyss. They journey across the remote islands left after the world’s shattering, looking to uncover the Abyss’s secrets and protect their loved ones.
