Coffee Shop Card-Battler RPG Affogato Announced
Spiral Up Games and Befun Studio have announced Affogato. The game is billed as a real-time tactical card battler RPG meets coffee shop management title. It is in development for PC and planned to release in 2023. A demo will be made available through Steam on July 29, 2022.
Affogato puts players in the role of a newly-arrived sorceress in Arorua who must manage her debt and the needs of her new coffee shop. Players meet various customers who tell their own stories, and she is able to use her powers to dive into their minds to uncover their secrets to form relationships with the NPCs. Combat takes place in the customers’ minds, and is billed as a mixture of reverse tower-defence and card battling.
