Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Shows Some Locations, Characters

Nintendo released some additional details and images for Monolith Soft’s Xenoblade Chronicles 3. The company released new screenshots of a pair of locations in the game. Millick Meadows is a lush region, but home to numerous creatures that don’t take kindly to intruders on their territory. Meanwhile, the Eagus Wilderness is a desert region that gets plenty of sandstorms and has a landmark that might be familiar to players of the previous games.

Its latest updates also introduce a trio of important characters. Ethel, aka Silercoat Ethel, is the commander of Keves’ Colony 4. She dual-wields a pair of swords and is famed for defeating three other colonies with a force of only a hundred soldiers. Guernica Vandham is a mysterious man who appears before the game’s party. He informs them about a true enemy, encouraging them to find a land pierced with a massive sword. Finally, Cammuravi, aka Smoldering Cammuravi, is the commander of Agnus’ Colony Delta. He uses a spear in combat, during which he displays his passion.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is set in a world that connects the futures of the settings of Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It follows protagonists Noah and Mio as they navigate the hostilities between the nations of Keves and Agnus. Noah is a soldier from Keves, while Mio is a soldier from Agnus, both of whom are joined by allies from their side. The game will release worldwide for Nintendo Switch on July 29, 2022.
