Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered Releasing This Winter

Square Enix announced Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered. The game is remaster of the PlayStation 2 Minstrel Song remake for Super Famicom title Romancing SaGa. The remaster will release worldwide this winter on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.

Romancing SaGa is the fourth title in the SaGa series, releasing in Japan in 1992, and is set on the fantasy world of Mardias. The game follows eight different protagonists, which players can control in the order they wish and freely explore the overworld. During these stories, players can recruit characters into their party, including other protagonists. The game’s two follow-ups, Romancing SaGa 2 and Romancing SaGa 3, received their own remasters in 2017 and 2019.

The Minstrel Song version was released in Japan and North America in 2005, while the remaster will see the game release in Europe for the first time. It retains the game’s story and gameplay mechanics, adding 3D graphics and additional elements from later titles in the series. The remaster will include remastered graphics, quality-of-life improvements, and some additional gameplay features.
