Knights of the Old Republic II Ignites on Switch in June

Publisher Aspyr has announced the upcoming release date for the Nintendo Switch version of BioWare’s Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. The game is releasing on June 8, 2022, and is getting a similar treatment as its predecessor, which was brought to Switch by Aspyr in 2021.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords was developed by Obsidian Entertainment and originally released for Xbox in 2004. It was brought to PC, Mac, and Linux in 2005, and iOS and Android in 2020. The game is set roughly 4,000 years before the film series and five years after the first game. It follows a new protagonist, an exiled Jedi Knight who awakens in a mining facility some time after the Jedi Order has been wiped out by the Sith.

The Switch release will feature HD cinematics, textures, UI, and resolution, and will receive free post-launch Restored Content DLC, adding new crew dialogue and interactions, a revamped ending, and a bonus mission for HK-47. It is available to pre-order digitally from the Nintendo eshop for $14.99/£14.99/€14.99 as a standalone title, or as part of a bundle alongside the first game for $29.99/£29.99/£29.99.
