New World Gets Endgame Additions

Amazon Games has launched a new update for the MMORPG New World. The primary addition of the update is to add a new endgame feature called Expedition Mutators. These mutators will increase the difficulty of enemies in Expeditions in exchange for even greater rewards than before, including some only available with mutators. Unique combinations of Expeditions and mutators will rotate each week. The developers also released a lengthy gameplay demonstration of the mutators in action.

Other improvements were made to the game as well, including an increased number of Spirit Shrines, decreased cost of fast travel, and the inclusion of Umbral Shards, a new item that allows weapons to increase their maximum Gear Score. New World is currently available on PC.
