Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Heading to PC, PS4, Switch

Atlus announced it is releasing fighting game sequel/spin-off Persona 4 Arena Ultimax on PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. The game — which is developed with Arc System Works and was originally released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2014 — will launch on its new platforms on March 17, 2022, as a digital only title. It is currently available to pre-purchase on Steam for $29.99, with those who already own Persona 4 Golden receiving a 30% discount.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is a follow-up to Persona 4 Arena, itself a spin-off sequel to Persona 4, and comes with Persona 4 Arena’s story included. Persona 4 Arena takes place two months after the ending on Persona 4 and sees the casts of Persona 3 and Persona 4 drawn into a fighting tournament in the Midnight Channel called the “P-1 Grand Prix” where they are forced to fight each other. The Ultimax storyline takes place immediately after these events and the reveal of the culprit behind them. The new release of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will include English and Japanese voice acting, as well as its additional story episode and character DLC.
