Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released over the week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases.


Arcadia Fallen

Visual novel RPG Arcadia Fallen is set in a fantasy world where players control an apprentice alchemist (with customisable appearance and gender) bound to an illegal spirit and drawn into a war between humanity and magic forces. Gameplay is heavily dialogue-focused, inspired by Mass Effect and Dragon Age, with players choosing responses often assigned particular moods or tones.


Dandy Ace

Roguelite action RPG Dandy Ace follows a magician called Ace who seeks to defeat the Green-Eyed Illusionist, Lele. As he fights through Lele’s changing palace, Ace creates spells by combining magical cards. The PlayStation 4 version includes new cards and equipable trinkets added alongside the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch release, which are also available in the PC version through a free update.


Fae Tactics

Tactical RPG Fae Tactics takes place in a world where magic was separated from the natural world by the Elemental Gates; however, the seal on the gates has been released causing magical fae creatures to flood in. Players take on the role of Peony, a magic user who battles fae creatures, which can later be recruited to fight alongside her.


Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier

Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier is an online battle royale game set before the events of Final Fantasy VII. It sees players controlling customiseable SOLDIER candidates with different combat styles. In addition to fighting against other players, players can encounter monsters that when defeated grant experience and let them level up and unlock new weapons.


Light Fairytale Episode 2

Light Fairytale Episode 2 is the direct sequel to Light Fairytale Episode 1. The turn-based RPG inspired by numerous JRPGs continues the story of Haru and Ayaka as they journey to reunite with an old friend and lets players import stats, items, and other collectibles from the previous game.


Ruined King: A League of Legends Story

Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is a turn-based RPG spin-off set in the League of Legends universe. It takes place in the port town of Bilgewater and the Shadow Isles, which are surrounded by cursed Black Mist that corrupts those who come into contact with it. Players form a party from six League of Legends champions: Miss Fortune, Illaoi, Braum, Yasuo, Ahri, and Pyke.


Pokémon Brilliant Diamond / Shining Pearl

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are remakes of the fourth-generation titles Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, which were released for Nintendo DS in Japan in 2006 and in the west in 2007. The games are set in the region of Sinnoh and see players taking on Team Galactic while attempting to become a champion Pokémon trainer by defeating the region’s Gym Leaders.


Tears of Avia

Tears of Avia is a turn-based strategy RPG set in the world of Estera. Players will be able to control a party of five characters, with multiple job classes and numerous skills available for each member, as they work together to search for the lost city of Avalon.


UnDungeon

Roguelite action RPG UnDungeon puts players in the role of a Herald, tasked with undoing an interdimensional cataclysm called the Shift, where seven versions of Earth were merged into one. Players fight their way through hordes of monsters, looking to build their power enough to undo the Shift. Each run increases the Herald’s knowledge and abilities as players unlock permanent upgrades.
