The Cruel King and the Great Hero Getting 2022 Western Release

NIS America announced that it will be releasing The Cruel King and the Great Hero in North America and Europe. The game, which released in Japan in June 2021, will be released for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in early 2022.

The Cruel King and the Great Hero is an RPG from Sayaka Oda, creator of The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince. The game follows a human child named Yuu and the dragon that acts as her foster parent. Yuu is the daughter of a hero who defeated the dragon in the past, who returned to the dragon and asked him to look after Yuu after receiving a mortal wound. The dragon tells Yuu of her father’s exploits and she decides to become a hero like him.
