Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker Benchmark, Trailer Released; Brief Final Fantasy XVI Development Update

During its seventh 14-Hour Broadcast for Final Fantasy XIV, Square Enix announced that the benchmark for the Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker expansion is now available. The benchmark lets players create a character, including the new male Viera option, which is then placed in a series of scenes to gauge the game’s performance. It is available on PC and supports 1920×1080, 1280×720, and 3840×2160 display resolutions.

In addition, during a Letter from the Producer Live segment on the broadcast, producer Naoki Yoshida was able to provide a very brief statement on Final Fantasy XVI‘s development. He revealed that the writing of the game’s main scenario has been completed, with the English voice recording being in the process of wrapping up. However, fans should not expect the game to appear during this year’s Tokyo Game Show.
