  1. Of course, I posted this in the old episode comments too late. I’ll repost here for convenience. You kind of touched upon it, but didn’t exactly answer it, heh:

    What’s the oldest console or computer RPG that you’ve played? Are you curious about playing some of the oldest games that are still playable? Near as I can tell, the oldest surviving RPG is The Dungeon/pedit5, a game created for the PLATO computer system back in 1975. I shouldn’t be surprised, but it’s amazing that soon after D&D came out, people were trying to use computers to simulate it.

    I ask because my curiosity got the best of me and I finally played Akalabeth. I wouldn’t call it good, but it was entertaining figuring out how to use an exploit to get through it as quickly as possible.
