Oddventure Planned for 2022, Kickstarter Campaign Coming

Publisher Pineapple Works and developer Infamous Rabbit have announced that Oddventure is planned to launch in Q3 2022. The game is planned to release for PC and Nintendo Switch, with a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign set to launch on May 6, 2021.

Oddventure is a turn-based RPG, with Earthbound and Undertale listed as inspirations. The game puts players in the role of Charlie, a socially awkward and rebellious teenage girl. Her adventure sees her searching the kingdom of Luxia for her younger brother Bonzo as well as a way home. The world is described as a “land taken straight out of original Grimm Brothers’ fairy tales with a dark, Nietzschean twist”. The game features a heavy focus on decision making with sometimes unpredictable consequences. A demo is currently available to try out on Steam.
