The big things for me from the Direct were the Famicom Detective Clubs (in the near term) and Splatoon 3 (in the long term), but I should give a shoutout to Neon White since it’ll fill the “attack and dethrone God” quota in between RPGs.

QOTW: I loved so much from that Direct! SaGa Frontier Remaster release date, Legend of Mana Remastered reveal, new Monster Hunter Rise trailer, Pyra and Mithra is Smash, Skyward Sword HD… I could go on…
BUT, as a huge Final Fantasy Tactics fan, I was over the moon with excitement at that Project Triangle Strategy announcement and had so much fun with the demo! After both Bravely Default 2, Monster Hunter Rise, and the still not announced PC port of FF7R are all launched and in my hands, I know what game I’m gonna obsessively follow the news of for the next year 😁

Mario Golf! Mario Golf! Mario Golf! I’m too excited about that to be excited about anything else. There was a TON of cool-looking things, but all from series that are not-for-me, but I’m excited everyone has a lot to look forward to! More games is always good news!

Pretty cool direct overall, but Project Triangle Strategy was definitely the standout for me. Final Fantasy Tactics meets Octopath Traveler? Where do I sign?

  5. Legend of Mana really made me nostalgic despite never having played the game before (I watched a friend play through some of it a long time ago). After playing the demo, I would really like to play Project Triangle Strategy as well.
