505 Games to Publish Eiyuden Chronicle

Developer Rabbit & Bear Studios has announced that it will be partnering with publisher 505 Games to release Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. The game underwent a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2020, with it surpassing its original goal on the first day, ultimately leading to it being the most-funded game last year. The game is scheduled to release in 2022 on PC as well as current and next-gen consoles.

Eiyuden Chronicle is a spiritual successor of the Suikoden series. Yoshitaka Murayama and Junko Kawano are heading up the RPG, as their first collaboration in over 25 years. The game follows a youth by the name of Nowa, who finds an ancient rune-lens that leads to a war between the League of Nations and the Galdean Empire. Unlike most Suikoden main characters, Nowa is not a silent protagonist and often leaps into situations before he looks. The game will also feature over 100 heroes that will join Nowa in his adventure, along with six-member turn-based battles, cooking, fishing, other mini-games, and a fortress town that players can grow over time.
