Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia Receives PS4 Demo, Switch Update

Happinet and Matrix Software announced that a free demo will be available for Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia on PlayStation 4 when the game launches on the console on December 10, 2020. The demo will feature a training mode to familiarise players with the game and a trial mode, where players start a campaign controlling the Norzaleo Kingdom in Easy mode. The trial mode will last for ten seasons, or until the player has occupied seven bases. The demo can be replayed, but data will not transfer to the full game.

The companies also announced a free update for the game, which is available now for Nintendo Switch and will be included in a day one patch for the PlayStation 4 version. The “Titans and the Iron Front” update includes a custom difficulty mode, new high-level monsters, quality-of-life upgrades, and bug fixes. The full patch notes can be found here.

Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia is a follow-up to the 1998 PlayStation tactical RPG Brigandine: The Legend of Forsena. Its main campaign sees players choosing one of six nations as they try and conquer the whole of the continent of Runersia. The game launched for Nintendo Switch in June 2020, with those looking to read more able to check out Ryan Radcliff’s review of the Nintendo Switch version.
