Scarlet Nexus Introduces Second Protagonist
Bandai Namco announced a second main protagonist for upcoming action RPG Scarlet Nexus. Kasane Randall is an oprhan who was adopted into the powerful Randall family at the age of 12, later becoming a powerful member of the OSF combining projectile weapons with her psychic powers. At the start of the game, players select whether to control Kasane or other protagonist Yuito Sumeragi and follow events from their perspective, with the full story coming from completing both protagonist’s storylines.
Scarlet Nexus is set in the far future after a psionic hormone is discovered that enables humanity to obtain psycho-kinetic abilities. Coinciding with the new power, mutants known as Others descend from the sky and exhibit thirst for the brains of humans while being impervious to regular attacks. However, those with psionic abilities are able to strike back, and are recruited into the Other Suppression Force. The game is set to be released for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X but does not have a firm release date.
