Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind Out Now on PS4, Mobile Title Project Xehanort Announced

Re Mind, the DLC expansion for Kingdom Hearts III, is now available worldwide for PlayStation 4. The DLC will also launch for Xbox One on February 25, 2020.

Re Mind includes a new playable episode as Sora aims to return to his friends after the events of the main game. The DLC features the first appearances in Kingdom Hearts III of characters from the Final Fantasy series, including Final Fantasy VII’s Aerith. It also includes multiple new boss battles, a “Limitcut and Secret Episode”, a greeting mode, slideshow features, and a new menu mode featuring new difficulty settings and challenges. The DLC can be pre-ordered now for $29.99, with a $39.99 edition available that also includes footage from the Kingdom Hearts – World of Tres orchestra concert recorded in Osaka, Japan, on November 30, 2019.

In addition, Square Enix revealed an upcoming mobile title, currently under the working title Project Xehanort. The game will tell an original story focused on the young version of the character Xehanort. It will be released as a free-to-play title with in-app purchases for iOS and Android, with Square Enix running a competition where entrants can attempt to guess the title of the game. Entries close on January 28, 2020, with the winner receiving a $100 Amazon gift card.

Update (Feb 1) — Square Enix has revealed that the new mobile game is titled Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road. More details will be released at a later date.
