Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind Release Date Revealed

Square Enix announced a release date for Re Mind, its DLC expansion for Kingdom Hearts III. The DLC will be released for PlayStation 4 on January 23, 2020, before launching for Xbox One on February 25, 2020.

Re Mind includes a new playable episode as Sora aims to return to his friends after the events of the main game. The DLC will include the first appearance in Kingdom Hearts III of characters from the Final Fantasy series, including Final Fantasy VII’s Aerith. It will also include multiple new boss battles, a “Limitcut and Secret Episode”, a greeting mode, slideshow features, and a new menu mode featuring new difficulty settings and challenges. The DLC can be pre-ordered now for $29.99, with a $39.99 edition available that also includes footage from the Kingdom Hearts – World of Tres orchestra concert recorded in Osaka, Japan, on November 30, 2019.

In addition to the DLC, a free patch will be released in January that includes a main story update as well as new abilities and a new form for Sora. It will also add the Oathkeeper and Oblivion keyblades and expands the built-in console sharing options for players.

Kingdom Hearts III was released on January 29, 2019, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game is the first officially-numbered title in the series since 2005’s Kingdom Hearts II, though a number of other titles set between the two games were released in the intervening period.
